The Proto® 1/2" drive deep impact socket is designed with a size of 20 mm and features a 6-point configuration, measuring 3-1/4" in length. Ideal for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as fasteners made from soft materials, this socket incorporates the TorquePlus™ design, which is a high-performance drive configuration that facilitates quick and easy engagement to the flats of fasteners rather than their corners. The TorquePlus™ design utilizes a radius-corner approach that shifts the contact area and stress away from fastener corners, distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket, thereby minimizing slippage. Additionally, the internal design of TorquePlus™ reduces the risk of rounding fasteners, enhances their longevity, and assists users in turning worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. The socket size is stamped on the tool for easy identification, and it includes a side locking hole for secure attachment.
