The Proto® 1" drive deep impact socket, measuring 1-1/8" and 3-3/4" long, features a robust 6-point design that is particularly effective for tackling stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from softer materials. Its TorquePlus™ design enhances performance by facilitating quick and easy engagement with the flat sides of fasteners rather than the corners. This unique configuration employs a radius-corner design, which shifts the contact area and stress away from the corners of the fasteners, thereby distributing contact stresses over a broader area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal structure reduces the risk of rounding fasteners, extends the lifespan of fasteners, and provides users with improved ease in turning worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
