The kit is designed for applications requiring strong load support in limited mounting areas and features a solid zinc die-cast housing that is non-corrosive and lightweight. It securely retains the bearing by pressing the lip 360 degrees over the outer race and includes 2 set screws. Flange mount bearings are available with housing units made from die-cast zinc, pressed steel, and pressed stainless steel. The die-cast zinc housings are non-corrosive and lightweight and can accommodate either a bronze bearing or ball bearing insert. The pressed steel housings are plated with a rust-proof finish and are available with either bronze bearing or ball bearing inserts. The stainless steel housings are USDA/FDA approved and feature UHMW-PE bearing inserts, making them suitable for wash-down applications in wet or harsh environments. Additionally, solid UHMW-PE bearings are entirely composed of UHMW-PE, USDA/FDA approved, and self-lubricating.
