The product features USDA and FDA approval, making it suitable for wash-down applications in wet or harsh environments where sanitary conditions are a priority. It includes self-lubricating bearings that resist corrosion, high impact, and abrasion, housed in two-piece stainless steel units. The kit offers flange mount bearings available with housing units made from die-cast zinc, pressed steel, and pressed stainless steel. Die-cast zinc housings are non-corrosive, lightweight, and can include either a bronze bearing or ball bearing insert, while the pressed steel housings come plated with a rust-proof finish, also available with bronze bearing or ball bearing inserts. The stainless steel housings are USDA/FDA approved and incorporate UHMW-PE bearing inserts, specifically designed for wash-down applications in demanding environments. Additionally, solid UHMW-PE bearings, made entirely from UHMW-PE, are self-lubricating and carry the USDA/FDA approval. The product tolerates temperatures ranging from -60° to 180° F.
