The two-piece housing features a rust-proof plated finish, and the spring-lid oil cap is designed for mounting at a 45-degree angle, allowing for vertical or horizontal installation. It incorporates a porous flanged bronze bearing that is press-fit into a sturdy zinc die cast sphere, complemented by a felt strip for lubrication. The kit includes two rubber grommets that effectively reduce vibration and noise, and it operates within a temperature range of -5 to 220 F degrees. Flange mount bearings are offered with various housing materials, including die-cast zinc, pressed steel, and pressed stainless steel. Die-cast zinc housings are lightweight and non-corrosive, available with either a bronze bearing or ball bearing insert. Pressed steel housings are plated for rust resistance and can be equipped with bronze bearing or ball bearing inserts. The stainless steel housings are USDA/FDA approved, featuring UHMW-PE bearing inserts, making them particularly suitable for wash-down applications in wet or harsh environments. Solid UHMW-PE bearings, completely made from UHMW-PE, are also USDA/FDA approved and are self-lubricating.
