This product is USDA and FDA approved, making it suitable for wash-down applications in wet or harsh environments where sanitary conditions are crucial. It features self-lubricating bearings that resist corrosion, high impact, and abrasion, housed in a two-piece stainless steel design. These flange mount bearings are available with housing units constructed from die-cast zinc, pressed steel, and pressed stainless steel. The die-cast zinc housings are lightweight, non-corrosive, and can be fitted with either a bronze bearing or a ball bearing insert. Pressed steel housings are plated with a rust-proof finish and also accommodate bronze bearing or ball bearing inserts. The stainless steel housings, which have UHMW-PE bearing inserts, are specifically designed for wash-down applications and are USDA/FDA approved, while the solid UHMW-PE bearings are fully made from UHMW-PE, are self-lubricating, and carry USDA/FDA approval.
