The kit is designed for applications that require strong load support in limited mounting areas and features a solid zinc die-cast housing that is non-corrosive and lightweight. It securely retains the bearing by pressing the lip 360 degrees over the outer race and includes 2 set screws. Flange mount bearings are offered with housing units made from die-cast zinc, pressed steel, and pressed stainless steel. The die-cast zinc housings, which are non-corrosive and lightweight, are compatible with either a bronze bearing or ball bearing insert. Pressed steel housings have a rust-proof finish and also come with bronze bearing or ball bearing inserts. The stainless steel housings are USDA/FDA approved, featuring UHMW-PE bearing inserts, making them suitable for wash-down applications in wet or harsh environments. Solid UHMW-PE bearings are constructed completely from UHMW-PE, are USDA/FDA approved, and are self-lubricating.
