The kit features a two-piece housing with a rust-proof plated finish, designed with a spring-lid oil cap positioned at a 45-degree angle, allowing for both vertical and horizontal mounting options. It includes a porous flanged bronze bearing that is press-fit into a sturdy zinc die cast sphere, complemented by a felt strip for lubrication. Additionally, the assembly comes with two rubber grommets to minimize vibration and noise, and it functions effectively within a temperature range of -5 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit. Flange mount bearings are offered with various housing materials, including die-cast zinc, pressed steel, and pressed stainless steel. The die-cast zinc housings are lightweight and non-corrosive, equipped with either a bronze bearing or ball bearing insert. The pressed steel housings feature a rust-proof plating and can include bronze or ball bearing inserts. Lastly, the stainless steel housings meet USDA/FDA standards, incorporate UHMW-PE bearing inserts, and are particularly suitable for wash-down applications in wet or harsh environments. Solid UHMW-PE bearings are entirely composed of UHMW-PE, are USDA/FDA approved, and provide self-lubricating capabilities.
