The two-piece housing features a rust-proof plated finish and includes a spring-lid oil cap positioned at a 45-degree angle, allowing for vertical or horizontal mounting. It is equipped with a porous flanged bronze bearing that is press-fit into a sturdy zinc die-cast sphere, which incorporates a felt strip for lubrication. To minimize vibration and noise, the kit contains two rubber grommets. The assembly is capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from -5 to 220 degrees Fahrenheit. Flange mount bearings are offered with housing units constructed from die-cast zinc, pressed steel, and pressed stainless steel. The die-cast zinc housings are lightweight and non-corrosive, available with either a bronze bearing or ball bearing insert. The pressed steel housings have a rust-proof plated finish and can also be fitted with bronze or ball bearing inserts. For applications requiring wash-down capabilities in wet or harsh environments, the stainless steel housings are USDA/FDA approved and utilize UHMW-PE bearing inserts. The solid UHMW-PE bearings are made entirely from UHMW-PE, are USDA/FDA approved, and are self-lubricating.
