Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel for a superior strength-to-weight ratio to handle various storage tasks. The basic components include upright frames and beams, manufactured to exact tolerances for long-lasting reliability at rated loads. The design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, with a safety lock tab that prevents beam dislodging. Standard beam ends are crafted from extra heavy gauge steel and feature a three-prong connection that ensures positive beam-to-post alignment along an 8-1/2" connector length for uniform load distribution. Additionally, tabs along the beam face protect the prongs during transit and installation. The unique recessed safety key, also made from heavy gauge steel, engages a post slot and resists upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. Penco pallet racks feature a step-down design accommodating accessories, with two step sizes available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high, and the locking keys should be engaged after beam installation for safety.
