Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for effective storage of palletized items, combining high-strength steel with superior strength-to-weight ratios. The kit includes upright frames and beams manufactured to precise tolerances, ensuring dependable service at rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, while the safety lock tab prevents beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel, featuring a three-prong connection for positive beam-to-post alignment across an 8-1/2" length, providing uniform load distribution. Tabs along the beam's face offer additional protection to prongs during transit and installation. Each beam features a unique recessed safety key made of heavy gauge steel that engages a slot in the post, capable of resisting an upward force of up to 1,000 pounds from material handling equipment. This safety key is integral to the beam assembly, easily engaged without tools, and prominently visible for safety checks. The step-down design accommodates accessories with two available step heights of 7/8" and 1-5/8". The heavy-duty beam end connector reinforces the structure, ensuring enhanced stability and safety during use.
