Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are meticulously designed for efficient storage of palletized items, featuring high-strength steel construction that ensures a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The kit includes upright frames and beams manufactured to exacting tolerances, ensuring long-lasting performance under their rated loads. The slotted design facilitates easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, accompanied by safety lock tabs that prevent beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel with a three-prong connection for positive beam-to-post alignment over an 8-1/2" length, promoting uniform load distribution. The design incorporates tabs along the beam's face to protect the prongs during transit and installation, while a unique recessed safety key made from heavy gauge steel engages a slot in the post to withstand upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. This key is easily engaged without tools and is clearly visible for safety inspections. Additionally, all beams are designed with a step to accommodate accessories, available in two step sizes: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. The heavy-duty beam end connector further enhances stability, contributing to the overall reliability of the pallet rack system.
