Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio, capable of handling various storage tasks. The kit includes upright frames and beams, each manufactured to exacting tolerances for many years of reliable service under rated loads. The design features a slotted configuration, allowing for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, complemented by a safety lock tab to prevent beam dislodgement. The standard beam ends, constructed from extra heavy gauge steel, employ a three-prong connection for positive beam-to-post alignment along the 8-1/2" connector length, ensuring uniform load distribution. Tabs extend along the beam face for added protection during transit and installation. A unique recessed safety key, made from heavy gauge steel, engages a slot on the post and resists upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. The step-down design of the beams includes options for accessories with two step sizes available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. The integral beam locking key provides additional safety by being easily engaged without tools and remains visible for safety inspections.
