Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are meticulously engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio. The core components include upright frames and beams, both manufactured to stringent tolerances, ensuring long-lasting service at rated loads. The racks feature a slotted design for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, complemented by a safety lock tab that prevents beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel with a three-prong connection that guarantees positive beam-to-post alignment over an 8-1/2" length, facilitating uniform load distribution. Tabs along the beam's face offer additional prong protection during transit and installation. Each beam includes a unique recessed safety key made from heavy gauge steel that engages a slot in the post, resisting upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. The design incorporates a step down feature for accessories, with two available step sizes of 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. For enhanced safety, the beam locking key can be easily engaged without tools and is clearly visible for safety checks.
