Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel to achieve a superior strength-to-weight ratio suitable for various storage needs. The system comprises upright frames and beams, each crafted to precise tolerances to ensure long-lasting performance under rated loads. The slotted design allows for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, with safety lock tabs preventing beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are constructed from extra heavy gauge steel with a three-prong connection that ensures positive beam-to-post alignment along an 8-1/2" length, facilitating uniform load distribution. The design includes tabs that extend along the face of the beam for added protection during transit and installation. A unique recessed safety key, made from heavy gauge steel, engages a slot in the side of the post, capable of resisting upward forces from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds. This key is part of the beam assembly, allows for easy engagement without tools, and is distinctly visible for safety checks. Beams also feature a step-down design to accommodate accessories, with two step sizes available: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high, complemented by an integral beam locking key for enhanced safety during operation.
