Penco's heavy-duty pallet racks are engineered for efficient storage of palletized items, utilizing high-strength steel that offers a superior strength-to-weight ratio capable of handling various storage demands. The essential components include upright frames and beams, manufactured to exacting tolerances for dependable service at rated loads. The racks feature a slotted design for easy installation and adjustment on 3" centers, complemented by a safety lock tab to prevent beam dislodgment. Standard beam ends are crafted from extra heavy gauge steel, incorporating a three-prong connection for positive beam-to-post alignment and uniform load distribution along an 8-1/2" connector length. Tabs along the face of the beam enhance protection for the prongs during transit and installation. A unique recessed safety key, made from heavy gauge steel, engages a post slot to withstand an upward force from material handling equipment up to 1,000 pounds, easily engaged without tools and made visible for safety checks. The step-down design incorporates a step for accessories, available in two sizes: 7/8" and 1-5/8" high. The heavy-duty beam end connector also ensures alignment and stability during use.
