Basic Mounting Kit (BMK) 12" frame is designed for applications where the support arm can be bolted or welded directly to structural steel or concrete. This kit includes steel construction with wet-applied enamel paint and is suitable for mounting Ruffneck™ heaters with a suspended weight limit of 300 lbs (136 kg). It is not compatible with HP 30, FR 30, HP 36, FR 36, or Tandem AH series (24B fan configuration). The heaters are intended to be installed in an upright and level position, although alternative positions are permissible; for steam service, the inlet must be higher than the outlet, and the core must drain towards the outlet. The installation involves suspending the unit from the top cabinet using either two or four 5/8" NC bolts in the internally threaded holes of the cabinet top panel. Proper structural support is crucial for installation. Various mounting options are available including Basic Mounting Kits (BMK), Hanging Mounting Kits (HMK), Swivel Hanging Mounting Kits (SHMK), and Wall Mounting Kits (WMK). The HMK is specifically designated for the 30" and 36" heater models. In settings where relocation or transportation is required, such as land or offshore drilling rigs, a robust mounting structure must be utilized to endure all potential loading conditions, including impacts from truck offloading. The use of lock washers beneath bolt heads is advised for these applications, and heaters can be mounted at any reasonable height above floor level depending on the intended use.
