It is important to note that the WMK is not suitable for models HP 30, FR 30, HP 36, FR 36, or Tandem AH series (24B fan configuration). While Ruffneck™ unit heaters are primarily designed for upright and level installation, they may be configured differently under certain conditions. For steam service applications, the inlet should be positioned above the outlet, and the core must drain towards the outlet. The heaters can be suspended from the cabinet top using either two or four 5/8" NC bolts, depending on the model, and adequate structural support must be provided. Various mounting kits are available, including basic mounting kits (BMK), hanging mounting kits (HMK), swivel hanging mounting kits (SHMK), and wall mounting kits (WMK), with the HMK being the only appropriate option for the 30" and 36" heater models. In relocating or transportable applications, such as land or offshore drilling rigs, it is crucial to ensure the mounting structure can withstand all probable load conditions, including potential abuse situations like truck offloading impacts. Additionally, using lock washers beneath bolt heads is recommended for such installations. Heaters may be mounted at any reasonable height above floor level depending on their intended purpose.
