Basic Mounting Kit (BMK) 16" Frame is designed for applications where the support arm can be bolted or welded directly to structural steel or concrete. The mounting kit consists of steel with wet-applied enamel paint, suitable for supporting heater weights of up to 300 lbs (136 kg). However, it is not suitable for models including HP 30, FR 30, HP 36, FR 36, or Tandem AH series (24B fan configuration). While Ruffneck™ unit heaters are intended for upright and level installation, alternative orientations are permissible, provided that for steam service, the inlet remains above the outlet and the core drains toward the outlet. The kit allows for suspension from the top of the cabinet using two or four 5/8" NC bolts, depending on the model, which must be installed into internally threaded holes in the cabinet's top panel, necessitating adequate structural support. Additional mounting options include Hanging Mounting Kits (HMK), Swivel Hanging Mounting Kits (SHMK), and Wall Mounting Kits (WMK), with HMK being the sole compatible option for the 30" and 36" heater models. For transportable applications like land or offshore drilling rigs, an appropriate mounting structure must be able to withstand all likely load conditions, including potential impacts. It is advisable to use lock washers beneath the bolt heads in these scenarios, and heaters can be mounted at varying heights above floor level based on specific needs.
