EXAIR's Super Air Knife is an efficient compressed air knife that delivers a uniform sheet of laminar airflow across its entire length with hard-hitting force and the lowest operating cost. It is engineered to significantly reduce compressed air usage by entraining ambient air at a ratio of 40:1, while noise levels are minimized to approximately 69 dBA for most applications. The knife is constructed from Type 316 stainless steel, providing excellent corrosion resistance, enhanced strength, and resistance to pitting, making it suitable for food, pharmaceutical, and surgical product manufacturing. It withstands temperatures up to 800°F (427°C) and features no moving parts, which eliminates maintenance requirements. The design includes easy mounting with compressed air inlets on each end and bottom, recessed hardware, and a compact, rugged build. It serves applications such as part drying after washing, sheet and conveyor cleaning, part or component cooling, web drying or cleaning, environmental separation, pre-paint blowoff, bag opening/filling operations, and scrap removal on converting operations. The Super Air Knife complies with OSHA safety requirements, the EU General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC), and meets the noise limitation requirements of the EU Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), with sound level measurements taken at 3 feet away.
