EXAIR's® Super Air Knife is a highly efficient compressed air knife made from Type 303 stainless steel, delivering a uniform sheet of laminar airflow across its entire length with hard-hitting force while maintaining the lowest operating cost. It is engineered to dramatically reduce compressed air usage by entraining ambient air at a ratio of 40:1 and operates at a noise level of 69 dBA for most applications. The Super Air Knife is designed for applications such as part drying after washing, sheet cleaning in strip mills, conveyor cleaning, part or component cooling, web drying or cleaning, environmental separation, pre-paint blowoff, bag opening/filling operations, and scrap removal on converting operations. Features include minimal air consumption, variable force and flow, no moving parts for maintenance-free operation, easy mounting with compressed air inlets on each end and the bottom, compact and rugged construction, and recessed hardware. It can withstand temperatures up to 800°F (427°C) and is best suited to mildly corrosive environments. The Super Air Knife complies with OSHA safety requirements, the EU General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC), and meets the noise limitation requirements of the EU Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), with all sound level measurements taken at 3 feet away. EXAIR also supports Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, ensuring compliance with the Conflict Minerals Rule.
