EXAIR's® Super Air Knife is the most efficient compressed air knife on the market, delivering a uniform sheet of laminar airflow across its entire length with hard-hitting force and the lowest operating cost. It is engineered to dramatically reduce compressed air usage by entraining ambient air at a ratio of 40:1, while noise levels are greatly reduced compared to other blowoffs, typically measuring 69 dBA. Constructed from type 303 stainless steel, which offers good strength and is suited for mildly corrosive environments, it can withstand temperatures up to 800°F (427°C). The Super Air Knife is used for a variety of applications including part drying after wash, sheet cleaning in strip mills, conveyor cleaning, part or component cooling, web drying or cleaning, environmental separation, pre-paint blowoff, bag opening and filling operations, and scrap removal on converting operations. Key features include minimal air consumption, variable force and flow, no moving parts ensuring maintenance-free operation, easy mounting with compressed air inlets on each end and bottom, compact and rugged design, and recessed hardware. The Super Air Knife complies with OSHA’s safety requirements, the EU General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC), and meets the noise limitation requirements of the EU Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), with sound level measurements taken at 3 feet. The product supports Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act regarding conflict minerals compliance.
