EXAIR's Super Air Knife is a highly efficient compressed air knife that delivers a uniform sheet of laminar airflow across its entire length, providing hard-hitting force with the lowest operating cost by entraining ambient air at a ratio of 40:1. Made from Type 316 stainless steel, it offers excellent corrosion resistance, enhanced strength properties, and resistance to pitting, making it ideal for industries such as food, pharmaceutical, and surgical product manufacturing where metal contamination must be minimized. It can withstand temperatures up to 800°F (427°C) and operates at noise levels as low as 69 dBA for most applications. The design includes compressed air inlets on each end and the bottom for easy mounting, recessed hardware, and no moving parts, making it maintenance free, compact, rugged, and easy to install. The Super Air Knife is suitable for applications including part drying after washing, sheet and conveyor cleaning, part or component cooling, web drying, environmental separation, pre-paint blowoff, bag opening and filling operations, and scrap removal in converting operations. It complies with OSHA's safety requirements, the EU General Product Safety Directive (2001/95/EC), and meets the noise limitation requirements of the EU Machinery Directive (2006/42/EC), with all sound level measurements taken at 3 feet away.
