Exair's Super Air Knife™ is designed to efficiently clean, dry, or cool parts, webs, or conveyors by providing a uniform sheet of laminar airflow across its entire length with substantial force. Operating at high pressures of 80 PSIG (5.5 bar), it maintains a surprisingly low sound level of 69 dBA for most applications. This air knife achieves an amplification ratio of 40:1, meaning it entrains 40 parts of ambient air for every part of compressed air used. It is available in materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and PVDF, making it versatile for various applications including part drying after washing, sheet cleaning in strip mills, conveyor cleaning, part or component cooling, web drying or cleaning, environmental separation, pre-paint blowoff, bag opening and filling operations, and scrap removal in converting operations. Key features include minimal air consumption, uniform airflow, variable force and flow settings, maintenance-free operation due to the absence of moving parts, compliance with OSHA dead-ended pressure and noise requirements, as well as a compact and rugged design that is easy to install with recessed hardware.
