This reducer features a male buttress valve connection that transitions to a 1 1/2" male BSP pipe thread, specifically designed for use with 1 1/2" piping. It is constructed from FDA food-grade materials, utilizing a robust glass coupled polypropylene that adheres to an ISO 9000 quality management system, ensuring high quality and safety standards. Each adapter is individually bagged and labeled, promoting cleanliness and straightforward identification. The CPP glass coupled polypropylene material is rated to withstand pressures up to 150 PSI and is compatible with a wide range of chemicals typically stored in IBC totes. The threads are designed with S60 x 6 buttress threading, featuring an outside diameter of 60.0 mm (2.36") and a thread pitch of 6.00 mm (0.24"), conforming to DIN standard 6131. This type of thread is common among European IBCs, including brands such as Schuetz, Mauser, SOTRALENZ, Werit, and Fustiplast. Additionally, the BSP fittings are compatible with NPS/NPT valves or adapters that have a diameter of 2" or smaller, specifically for plastic fittings only.
