The reducer features a 2" male NPT pipe thread valve which transitions to a 1" hose barb, allowing for easy connection with a 1" hose equipped with a swivel ring to prevent twisting during assembly. It is manufactured from FDA food grade materials in durable glass coupled polypropylene, adhering to an ISO 9000 quality management system. Each adapter is individually bagged and labeled for cleanliness and identification purposes. The CPP glass coupled polypropylene material is rated to handle pressures up to 150 PSI and is compatible with most chemicals typically found in IBC totes. The thread specifications include a 2" NPS male pipe thread with an outside diameter of 59.6mm (2.35"), a minor diameter of 2.21mm (0.09"), and a thread pitch of 11.5 TPI as per ANSI B1.20.1-1983 standards. This thread type is commonly utilized in American IBCs such as Schuetz, Clawson, Greif/Sonoco, and Mauser. Additionally, it is noteworthy that BSP fittings are compatible with NPS/NPT valves or adapters of 2" diameter or smaller, applicable specifically for plastic fittings.
