The reducer is designed to connect a large IBC tank male buttress valve to 2" male BS pipe thread, suitable for 2" pipework. It is manufactured from FDA food grade materials, utilizing strong glass coupled polypropylene under an ISO 9000 quality management system. Each adapter is bagged and labeled for cleanliness and ease of identification. The material is rated to 150 PSI and is compatible with most chemicals carried in IBC totes. The thread specifications include S75 x6 (2") male buttress, with a 75.0 mm (2.95") outside diameter and a 6.00 mm (0.24") thread pitch (distance between threads). This specific thread design is commonly found on IBCs from manufacturers such as Schuetz, Clawson, and Fustiplast. Additionally, BSP fittings are compatible with NPS/NPT valves or adapters that have a diameter of 2" or smaller, specifically for plastic fittings.
