Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics high-performance tanks are designed with exacting CAD-based designs, using the highest quality virgin resins for robust construction suitable for general purpose applications. These translucent tanks include molded-in graduations, and are rated for use with media having a specific gravity of 1.8, which increases to 2.2 when a fiberglass casing is employed. The casings provide essential structural support and prevent bulging at the bottom of the tank, and are necessary for applications involving media with a specific gravity greater than 1.8 or for prolonged use at elevated temperatures. Additionally, there is an option for factory-installed casings, which are sold separately and must be purchased alongside the tank.
