The Proto® 3/4" drive impact socket 17 mm features a 6-point configuration and measures 1-59/64" in length. Designed for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners as well as fasteners made from soft materials, this socket incorporates the TorquePlus™ design, a high-performance drive configuration that enables quick and easy socket engagement with the fastener flats rather than the corners. The TorquePlus™ configuration utilizes a radius-corner design, which shifts contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. This internal design significantly reduces fastener rounding, prolongs fastener life, and facilitates the turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. The socket also features a stamped size for easy reference and includes a side locking hole for added functionality.
