The Proto® 1/2" Drive Impact Socket measures 46 mm and has a length of 2-7/16", featuring a 6 Point design that is particularly effective for stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as fasteners made from soft materials. This socket incorporates the TorquePlus™ design, which is a high performance drive configuration that ensures quick and easy socket engagement with fastener flats rather than corners. The TorquePlus™ configuration utilizes a radius-corner design that shifts contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, effectively distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket, thereby minimizing slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal design reduces fastener rounding, helps extend the life of fasteners, and facilitates the turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners.
