Proto® 3/8" drive impact socket 1/4" - 6 point is designed for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners as well as those made from soft materials. It features the TorquePlus™ design, a high-performance drive configuration that ensures quick and easy socket engagement with the fastener flats rather than the corners. The TorquePlus™ configuration uses a radius-corner design that shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. This internal design helps reduce fastener rounding, extends fastener life, and allows for easier turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. The socket is equipped with a size stamp for easy identification and includes a side locking hole for added security.
