The Proto® 3/8" drive deep impact socket 7/8" features a 6 point design that is especially effective for tackling stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from soft materials. It incorporates the TorquePlus™ design, a high-performance drive configuration that facilitates quick and easy socket engagement with fastener flats rather than corners. This configuration employs a radius-corner design that shifts contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, thus distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. The internal design of TorquePlus™ helps to reduce fastener rounding, enhances fastener longevity, and assists users in turning worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners more easily. The socket size is clearly stamped on the tool for convenient identification, and it also includes a side locking hole.
