The Proto® 1/2" Drive Deep Impact Socket 9/16" - 6 Point, measuring 3-1/4"L, is designed for use on stubborn or damaged fasteners, as well as those made from soft materials. It features the TorquePlus™ design, a high-performance drive configuration that allows for quick and easy socket engagement with fastener flats instead of corners. This configuration employs a radius-corner design, which shifts the contact area and stress away from the fastener corners, distributing contact stresses over a larger area of the socket to minimize slippage. Additionally, the TorquePlus™ internal design reduces fastener rounding, extends fastener life, and facilitates the turning of worn, rounded, or rusted fasteners. The socket size is stamped on the tool for easy identification, and it includes a side locking hole.
